The capital city of Ecuador, Quito, is nestled in an Andean Valley at about 2,700 meters (9,000 ft) elevation. Mindo lies to the northwest of Quito at about 1,300 meters (4,000 ft) elevation and is about a 2 hour drive from Quito. The road that connects Quito to Mindo continues on eventually reaching the Pacific Coastal Region in about 5 or 6 hours.
Due to a recently constructed shortcut, the Quito airport is now only about a 2 hour 15 minute drive to Mindo. We are able to arrange transport from the Airport to Mindo at anytime. However we try to avoid late night pickups or dropoffs in the rainy season due to the possibility of mudslides.
